HAPPY NEW YEAR!
December 28, 2022

We are turning the page to a new chapter in our life story. Do what you can to make it enjoyable. It’s a new start and you are in control.

No matter what your New Year’s resolution is, make it realistic and attainable. Be true to yourself and think about it. Otherwise, you probably will not fulfill your resolution.

Ask yourself what you are doing or plan on doing to make your resolution happen? If your resolution is for better health. Are you getting enough sleep? Are you eating right? Are you getting enough exercise? Yes, it does take some effort on your part.

Do you want to meet that one special person? What are you doing to make that happen? Here are some suggestions. Participate in activities that you enjoy. Be open to new ideas. Search to find good in a person instead of what you don’t like about them. Open up and try something different. If you find you don’t enjoy it, don’t do it again.

Do you want to make yourself a better person? Here’s a good place to start. Get a blank piece of paper and write down what you want to change. You can also write down where you are now and where you want to be. It may be beneficial to break it down into incremental steps and assign a timeline. Remember that we had to learn how to walk before we learned how to run. Be specific. Don’t make it all doom and gloom so across the top of the page list what you like best about yourself. You also don’t have to complete this in one sitting. Set it aside and work on it at a later time and jot down things as they come to mind.

Do you want world peace or to get rid of hunger in the world? I think we all do deep down in our hearts, but is it obtainable doing it by yourself? I think not, but we can each do our part.

To some2022 has been like no year ever. A lot can happen in a year and between the good, the bad, and the ugly, this may seem like an understatement for us all. It has been a roller coaster of emotions. If you are like me you think, “I never thought that this could happen or that it would ever be like this”. Yet it is like this and all we can do is to be positive and each of us do our part to make it a better place to be.

The coming of the New Year is a cause for celebration and the excitement that lies ahead. Many times we are sharing it with family, a few special friends or at a party often with some of the attendees that you had never met before. Enjoy yourself and start the year out right.

Happy New Year to you and I hope it is the best ever, but not the best yet.
